Hey, I have tried a lot of different brands of liquid foundations. Today’s review will be on each product, I will discuss how long the product last, the type of finish, coverage and what skin types it works best for.
Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect (Paid £12.99) This product is a light liquid foundation. I didn’t really like this foundation, it doesn’t have the greatest coverage, it also comes off through out the day so it is not long lasting. However I did find that it was good for picture taking as its formula works with camera lighting. I have used this product on top of my other foundations. Rating: 3/5
MAC Mineralize (Paid £29) I have found that this product works well on dry skin This product does cost a lot however it does last a while and doesn’t need a lot when applying. It is also a light foundation but has very good coverage. It is also a long lasting foundation. Rating: 4/5
Smashbox (Paid £29) I came across this product in Boots a couple of months ago and it has now become one of my daily foundations. It is long lasting and has great coverage. The formula makes this foundation resistant to everyday factors such as sweat and rain, so it helps the product to last through the day. It is also great for oily skin as it is a oil free formula. Another thing I love about this product is that it has a matte finish. Rating: 4/5
MAC Studio Fix (Paid £22) I have been using this foundation for over 4 years now. It was my first foundation, I have tried other foundations and went straight back to this one. It has the perfect coverage, it matches perfectly with my skin and it has a matte finish. It also lasts through out the day and on nights out alongside other makeup products. I have found that this product works well with dry and oily skin. Rating: 5/5
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid (Paid £7.99) So I tried out this product in November, I went to visit family and forgot my foundation so I ended up buying this as it was cheap. This is a product for people with normal skin. It does have good coverage, however it has little oil control. It is a oil free product but I found through the day my nose looked very oily. After a few hours the majority of the foundation rubbed off. It also does not have a colour to match my skin so I ended up with a darker foundation. I didn’t have the greatest experience with this product. Rating: 2/5
Lancome (Paid £30) This product is my most recent foundation purchase. I have been using it for the past few weeks. It has great coverage and has a beautiful smell. It is long lasting and has a matte finishing. It isn’t a oily foundation and it also is not too dry. The only problem I have with this product is that it also does not have a colour to match my complexion, so the product I have is darker, however once used with my other makeup products it looks fine. Rating 4/5
Well that’s it from me for today!
Enjoy your day! Kira xx
